What it deliberately does not do
Every one of these follows from the same decision: there is no server. You should know the whole bargain before you rely on it, not after.
It does not sync
There is no server to sync through. Your Mac vault and your iPhone vault are separate vaults. What moves between them is an encrypted backup file you export and import deliberately — not a background process.
It does not share
No links, no shared folders, no collaboration, no read-only guests. Sharing means giving someone a key, and the design has nowhere to put a second key holder.
It is not a backup
There is no cloud copy. A lost, stolen or dead device with no exported backup means those files are gone. Exporting a backup is free and always will be — but it only protects you if you actually do it.
There is no passphrase recovery
Not a hard process, not a slow one — none. Nobody holds a copy to reset it against. The recovery key rescues you from a fingerprint change; nothing rescues you from a forgotten passphrase.
It is not for teams
No shared vaults, no admin console, no per-member access. If more than one person needs the same file, this is the wrong tool and we would rather say so here than after you have bought it.
Export a backup today, not the day you need one
A single portable file with its own passphrase, restorable on any Mac or iPhone. Because it is ciphertext you can keep it in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or on a USB stick without exposing anything. It is the only thing standing between a dead device and losing what is in the vault, and it is free forever.
